Come along to a geo-Easter hunt on Easter Sunday, April 16th, 2017.
12.30pm-3pm.
Rumour has it that the Easter Bunny has come, discovered geocaching and has added a technological twist to their usual yearly Easter egg hunt trail by incorporating GPS, hiding geo-egg stashes all around Towerhouse Woods. This event has been set up so that we can locate these sweet treats on Easter Sunday in Towerhouse Woods.
This is the idea. At GZ, if you wish to participate, and you will be given GPS coordinates to a location in the woods. At that location is a (sealed) box full of sweet treats for you to share.
Even if you don't want to participate there will be a spot for you to chat with other cachers. There will also be a set up at GZ where a logbook and trackable swaps will be available.
Just a couple of things to bear in mind:
• You're never too old to go on an Easter hunt!
• You must sign the logbook - no physical log means no online log.
• You can't claim finds for finding the Easter eggs, but you will be able to find the new geocaches that will be available on the day!
• The eggs will still be in their original packaging inside a plastic box so they're safe.
• If you intend to come PLEASE post a 'Will Attend' log and say whether you wish to participate in the fun, so the Easter Bunny can hide enough treats for everyone.
