In Geocaching, 'Tools of the Trade' (TOTT) are any of the MANY devices that might be used to help find/retrieve/log a geocache. Below is a list that is NOT all inclusive.
Ball of string or twine
Boat/canoe/kayak
Cellphone (Phone-A-Friend option)
Duct Tape
Flashlight/s
Ladder
Leatherman type multi-tool
Magnet/Metal washer
Mechanics extendable magnet
Mechanics remote pickup Mirror (for looking where you don't want to put your hands first)
Pole/Break down metal rod with a hook on the end for probing under and unseen areas first
Rock Climbing Gear
Rope, various lengths
SCUBA Gear
Tweezers (for getting logs out of very small containers)
Wire coat hanger, straightened out
Wrenches & Screwdrivers
At this cache we have provided the tool that you need to retrieve the cache.
The tool is in the immediate vicinity of ground zero.
If you find the tool first, you will realize where to find the container.
If you spot the container first, you will realize what kind of tool to look for.
Please take care when retrieving and replacing the container so that no excessive force is used.
