Join us for a "Swell" time in the San Rafael Swell near the Wickiup! The main event will be a potluck dinner at 6PM on Saturday, April 22nd, but a group of us will be camped in the area throughout the weekend (my wife and I will be there Tuesday through Sunday). Feel free to just show up for the potluck or spend the entire weekend. Please bring a main or side dish, dessert, or drink to share and be prepared to sample some great food.
On Saturday we'll drive a loop (high-clearance 4WD recommended) through Red's Canyon to the Tomsich Butte area, and then back to camp across McKay Flat.
There are a number of activities to do in the area, from easy driving and sightseeing to difficult hiking and 4x4/ATV routes. Hang out with the group or head out on your own explorations. :) The camping is primitive and there are no services nearby--the nearest town with services and fuel is Green River, 30 miles to the east. There will be plenty of room for trailers, RVs, and tents. Looking forward to seeing you there!
