Geocache Description:

Our daughter is currently a student at Aberystwyth University and so we spend a lot of time visiting the area and so we decided to place a cache here as it is close to the area she currently lives.

You are looking for a camouflaged film pot. You do not need to enter the railway property nor cross the railway line to retrieve this cache. There is no need to climb any fences, although currently you will need to pass some scaffolding. The cache is retrievable from the path.

The Vale of Rheidol Light Railway was authorised by Act of Parliament on 6th August 1897. At the time of building, it was of the most up to date standard of narrow gauge construction, and passed through terrain where it would have been almost impossible to build a standard gauge line without prohibitive costs. The line was authorised as two distinct sections, namely the main line from Aberystwyth to Devil's Bridge, and a harbour branch. The original stations were at Aberystwyth, Llanbadarn, Capel Bangor, Nantyronen and Devil's Bridge. For further information about the railway see http://www.rheidolrailway.co.uk/index.htm

Please be aware that there is currently a bit of a clamber to reach GZ and this is reflected in the T rating. I was happy to clamber over to reach the cache, but please make your own assessment. Just because I was happy to do so does not mean that you will be. Attempt at your own risk and simply be careful.
