At the posted coordinates, you will find the marker of my parents' oldest and dearest friends. They had a friendship that spanned over 40 years, the Payne's. When Richard, whose nickname was Alabama, passed, I gave the eulagy at his funeral. Afterwards, his lovely wife made me promise to do the same for her. It wasn't too long before I was fulfilling that promise. I wrote and read this at her funeral.
Alabama's Treasure
She was Alabama’s treasure,
The apple of his eye.
They shared a love beyond all measure,
Until the day they said goodbye.
A parting only temporary,
You see, he had a job to do.
He went to choose a promised mansion,
In Paradise, just for two.
Though it pained her that he had to leave.
She knew she’d see again,
The man she loved for moments here,
Was waiting up in Heaven.
Together again, for eternity,
Hand in hand and face to face,
They’re now basking in God’s Glory,
Singing Amazing Grace.
Although we miss her dearly,
We didn’t want to see her go.
She’s without any pains or fears.
That’s comforting to know.
Though death on earth is part of life,

To find the coordinates, you need to find Alabama's Treasure. Richard's wife was named after a precious GEM. Once you find this GEM, use the dates on HER side of the marker to fill in the missing numbers.

B = The fourth (last) digit of the year she was born
C = The third digit of the year she was born
D = The digit of the day she passed away
(Incidentally, she passed away on my birthday)
E = The second digit of the month she passed away
F = The month she passed away minus one
