Why? You ask. I have heard that there is going to be a mermaid showing up during that time, and this will be the perfect place to be! Before hand, we will have some games and fun. I might even round up a prize or two.
Be prepared to enjoy the Elizabeth River Trail. Bring your comfy walking shoes or your bike. There is limited parking near the park, but there is also parking across the street, and at other points on trail. The park is also near the end of the Tide's route (and the Tide even has bike racks!).
