Geocache Description:

This is the thirteenth of a little series I have decided to place in commemoration (or some times celebration) of pubs that have disappeared.

I remember enjoying many Wednesday nights in this pub after Venture Scouts when I was around about 18. I also remember the cub minibus stopping here to drop of our goalie as his family lived in the pub.

It was also a regular starting point for our pub crawls through Heston and into Hounslow in my younger years.

Next door, in fact attached to the pub, was a very small sports shop (now demolished) called PD Sports and I remember buying many a piece of sports equipment, cub and scout uniform or getting my badminton racquet restrung, long before internet shopping was ever thought off.

It is believed that Dick Turpin visited this pub and is believed to have used a secret tunnel to evade capture using a hidden passageway to a now-demolished mansion on the other side of Vicarage Farm Road.

The pub was at one time re-branded as 'The Pride of Erin' and went rather weird, before being re re-branded as 'The Old Elm Tree' before its closure and now potential redevelopment as housing.

At the published coordinates you will find a sign post with a sign on and the reference HWab and underneath a three digit number cde.

The final container can be found a few minutes walk away at.......

N51 29.(d)(e+a)(c+e)

W000 22.(a+d+e)(e+b)(c*d)

You are looking for a magnetic micro, containing a logbook only, so please bring a pen.

Happy Hunting.
