There are many benches along these paths where you can rest to enjoy the views or read their inscriptions, most of them in memory of people who loved visiting this place. This cache is hidden at a bench with particular significance for me as it's placed by our family.
I hope you enjoy your walk along the promenade and the many paths that criss cross up and down the grassy slopes to the beach, and that you can take a little time to rest and reflect as you search for this tiny hide and sign its log book - initials only, please, as space is limited.
Whitby Adventure Lab
You may be interested to know that I've also created a Geocaching Adventure Lab that takes you on a walking tour of Whitby seafront and harbour in the footsteps of Count Dracula, visiting five popular locations used by Bram Stoker in the novel.
You'll need the Adventure Lab app on your smartphone to run it. You'll find it on the map or in the list in the app, or use the link or scan the QR code below on your smartphone to get started.
