These falls are very impressive and can be safely viewed from several vantage points. You can really feel the might of the falling water as you stand across from them at the lower viewing area.
There are a number of signs that warn viewers to stay safely behind fences. There is a display near the parking area that lists the names of those who have lost their lives at the falls over the years.
Verification of your Visit:
Take a picture next to the fence with the Nooksack Falls in the background. Your picture can include either yourself (aka a selfie) or, if you prefer privacy, a scrap of paper or another object with your caching name clearly written on it. Post your picture with your log. There is no need to send it to me via email or message. Feel free to include additional pictures of this beautiful area and falls as well.

Final access to the location is over a short dirt and gravel road that is easily passable by automobile. Terrain difficulty to the cache is level one, but the walk down to the lower viewing area could be a bit more difficult, depending on your route and whether or not the ground is wet. The access is all behind a good fence, however.
