Baker Mountain. Located just out side the Village of Saranac Lake. Great views for a short hike (.9 miles).
Turn on to Pine St and then on to East Pine. Follow this road to the back side of Moody Pond. There is parking at the trail head N 44* 19.829' / W 74* 6.965'. This site gives great views of the area and surounding mountains. There are several routes to the summit.
We have left a plastic container with the following items: log book, camera (take a picture so we know what you look like) wooden puzzle, pez dispenser, stuffed zebra, bug eye, magnifing glass, rubix key chain, sewing kit, ear plugs, flashlight whistle, lite up ball, yo-yo, lazer key chain, card holder, letter opener, alligator, iguanna, tape measure, frisbee. I hope everyone will be able to find something that they can't live without.
