Geocache Description:

This series of caches is dedicated to the old board games many of us played as kids. Before the days of Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox these types of games were the rage. Almost every family had a games closet where they stored all their favorites.

There are a variety of puzzles in this series that I hope are not too difficult for the average cacher to solve. Look for clues along the way – some of the logsheets will contain codes to help you find the final two bonus caches.

The cache is not located at the posted coordinates. However, you can find them hidden on this page.

Dominoes date back to the 12th Century when a version was invented by the Chinese. Dominoes is a game that has many variations! The classic game and the earliest recollection I have was using a set similar to this which featured the Dragon design on the back - probably a reference to the original game.

Later sets started being introduced that had more dots on the dominoes, and colors!

Then they started to use different shapes of dominos in the variation called Tri-Ominos.

Then people who had gotten tired of playing dominoes got out their old sets and invented a whole new use for them, which became a craze in itself!

However, our favorite (and an especially meaningful version!) has always been the Mexican train version where you scatter all the dominos on the table – then branch out from a central location.
