Geocache Description:

This series of caches is dedicated to the old board games many of us played as kids. Before the days of Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox these types of games were the rage. Almost every family had a games closet where they stored all their favorites.

There are a variety of puzzles in this series that I hope are not too difficult for the average cacher to solve. Look for clues along the way – some of the log sheets will contain codes to help you find the final two bonus caches.

The cache is not located at the posted coordinates. You can find the needed information on this page.

Probe is a parlor game introduced in the 1960s by Parker Brothers. It is reminiscent of the simple two-person game Hangman. However, Probe extends the number of players to a maximum of four and introduces additional game elements that increase the levels of both skill and chance. Like Hangman, each player has a secret chosen word. As shown here, the players display their word on a letter rack and expose letters as they are correctly guessed. You can also use blank dots to confuse your opponents. The winner is determined by totals of points – which are assigned to letters and also as a bonus for guessing the word. This game was a forerunner to the popular TV Game Show – Wheel of Fortune.
