Geocache Description:

Short two stage multi located at a historic cemetery!

These graves from St. Anthony's Church of Windham Pioneer Roman Catholic Cemetery were actually lost for almost 50 years! In 1966 Our Lady of La Salette Roman Catholic Church contracted a group to help clean the cemetery. In error a bulldozer was brought in and bulldozed many gravestones over burying them.

Only in 2013 did a search begin. A group from La Salette with the help of Archeological Research Associates from Kitchener. Using ground penetrating radar and excavator they began finding headstones. Over 3 years they collected the newly found headstones and placed them in a new cement display area and re-dedicated on September 18th, 2016.

Before you can find the cache you have a few questions to answer which can be found at the posted coordinates on a large black marble slab. To make it easier you only have find the names on the back of the slab (facing away from the road). Good luck!
