Liquids tend to be immiscible when the force of attraction between the molecules of the same liquid is greater than the force of attraction between the two different liquids. A liquid that is less dense than water will float on the water; a liquid that has a greater density will sink. Factoid: A lot of agents that make dishes and clothes dirty are greasy or contain oil. Water alone is not attracted to these compounds. However, because a detergent has one end that is attracted to oil-like molecules, detergents tend to bind to dirt, grease and oil. The other half of the detergent binds to water molecules, allowing the soiling agent to be washed away. Is this factoid important here? Maybe not; but it's interesting to note that oil and water (two historical lifebloods here at the ranch) actually never mix.

You are looking for a simple gadget cache: You must find, access and sign the physical log for credit and you will need to BYOP to sign the log. As always, please take care to watch for muggles, return the cache tightly sealed and replace exactly as found. Most of all: have fun!

There are picnic tables and drinking water along some of the trails. All rules apply accessing the ranch. The park is Open 7 days per week; parking pass is $5.00 per vehicle.
