This not a quick park and grab. This is an adventure and a days, or maybe a morning outing. At the picnic spot is a lovely part of the river that has lovely rapids that are children friendly. The picnic spot has lovely green grass and is very pleasant.
The road to this site is fairly good and i did it in my sedan. If it has been raining a bit, it might be better to use a high clearance car.
There is a fee of R20 per adult (15 and above) R10 for kids.
Sibusiso is the loacl manager and he will make sure you have a good time. He and his staff are aware of the cache placment and they are very aware of what is happening around the site.
For larger parties you will need to book your spot. the picnic site is getting popular.
I do not think it would be a good idea to do this one at night
