The first time I saw this cathedral, my first thought was: "it looks like a UFO!"
Officially known as the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King, its (official) nicknames include "Paddy's Wigwam", "The Pope's Launching Pad", and "The Mersey Funnel". Its construction began in 1962 and was completed in 1967 in only 5 years!
This unusual cathedral is also worth a visit inside, with quite different styles of architecture being mixed together.
Please note that the garden is closed at night so the cache is accessible from 7:30am to 6pm.
