Downfall'n - Avenue of Honour Traditional Cache

This section of the Downfall Creek Bikeway runs around the outside of the Cricket Fields and has been planted with brush box trees as Avenue of Honour to the 7th Brigade

 The avenue was dedicated as part of the Q150 celebrations in 2009

 There is a nearby information board that expands on the background of the avenue. The board highlights the 7th Brigade's contribution to the Milne Bay conflict in Aug/Sep 1943 which was the first land based defeat of the Japanese army, and, provided major morale boost to the troops serving in the Pacific

Cache is a large bison container.
