This is a replacement cache for two caches that maccamob had here. The original, Cobblers GC82D8, was placed in August 2002 and archived in March 2007. I was the last cacher to not find it(!) The next one, More Cobblers GC11742, was placed in March 2007 and lasted almost nine years until it was archived on 7/1/16.
Hopefully this one will last as long as those two.
This river is the Werribee River and is supposed to have lots of fish - This is a quote from the second of those previous caches - "This stretch of the river is home to fish such as carp, roach, redfin and some brown trout. Other species include tench, Australian smelt, common galaxias, blackfish, short-finned eel, mosquitofish and flat-headed gudgeon."

A lot of work has been done over the years to improve this area and hopefully the results can be seen.
The old house ruins are at the top of the cliffs on the other side of the river from here, but are not quite visible from here. They are easily seen from back up on the road.
