The second of three family-friendly caches placed at and with the permission of the Arboretum. If you seek all three, you will complete a four mile hike. Set a waypoint at the parking lot and you won't have to retrace your steps to return to your car. You can stay on established trails for all but the last few hundred feet before each cache. However, off-trail hiking IS PERMITTED in all areas except the gardens. There are two bridges across Wolf Creek. DO NOT FORD THE CREEK. Pick up a map at the Visitors Center and be sure to stop by when you're done and tell the staff how much fun you had.
I have placed three caches in this park. However, there are more that you don't want to miss. The Arboretum keeps shorter hours in the winter. Picnic tables, water, and bathrooms are all available.
Cache in, trash out!
When placed, the cache contained gold doubloons, fabulous jewels, assorted pearls, and trash bags.
