Geocache Description:

In the past Howth has had numerous incidents of historical significance.  Many of these are written in stone so to speak..... or at least in pigmented reconstituted granite.

The Pigmented Reconstituted Granite & The Cache

The posted coordinates take you to an area where you will find something tall that is made from pigmented reconsituted granite......It's nicer than that sounds.  There is also a smaller item nearby that will explain this item to those who want to learn a bit more.  The artist has said "When viewing a piece of sculpture once can see many different layers of meaning.  The clues given here are only the first layer of meaning and are meant only as a gateway through which you can go on your way to see meanings of your own".  So come and make up your meanings of these sculpted pictures.  I like the Llama eating horse chestnuts.

To help you understand this is what is meant with the questions - here is what I mean by Portrait Panel and Story Panel

Once at the coordinates look for the following :

A - Count the letters that make up the name of the ? boat that sits proudly atop the tall item.

B - One one side there are cows & horses on the story panels..... How many heads (both human and animal should be counted) are on the 2 panels which make up the Story?

C - How many flame topped columns are on the small panel that has a man facing towards a hill with a long set of steps?

D - The man sitting in the boat is holding onto the boat - but with how many hands?

E - How many unclenched hands are on the portrait panel above the cow?

F - How many people feature on the small panel that has the thrown book?

Once you have answered the above then head to N53 23.ABC W006 04.DEF where there is a cache to be found.

So.....Who got here first?

Congratulations to Shenmen and Theswerve who deciphered the granite and found the cache first.
