Footpaths criss cross the peninsula, but think about your approach because the peninsula has, well, water on three sides of it.
The cache is kid-friendly. Water is within sight but not particularly close. You can spend an hour climbing on fallen trees and, with adult supervision, throwing rocks into the lake. We'll keep trinkets in the cache to make it worth the trip for families. If you didn't bring something to trade, use an acorn or cool rock.
Ground zero is a 0.6 mile walk from Vanderbilt Street Playground. You can find a paved stroller-friendly path that brings you close to the cache. Otherwise you're on dirt or wood-chip paths.
The coordinates were determined a Garmin Oregon 450's waypoint averaging and confirmed with Google Maps. With the number of trees, expect a wide search area.
As you leave, please check that the cache isn't visible.
