Geocache Description:

This series of caches is dedicated to the old board games many of us played as kids. Before the days of Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox these types of games were the rage. Almost every family had a games closet where they stored all their favorites.

There are a variety of puzzles in this series that I hope are not too difficult for the average cacher to solve. Look for clues along the way – some of the log sheets will contain codes to help you find the final two bonus caches.

The cache is not located at the posted coordinates. To find this cache you will need to find the missing coordinates, which are located on the log sheets of other caches in the "You Got Game?"  series.

The history of chess goes back almost 1500 years. The game originated in northern India in the 6th century AD and spread to Persia. When the Arabs conquered Persia, chess was taken up by the Muslim world and subsequently, through the Moorish conquest of Spain, spread to Southern Europe.

I learned to play it at an early age, and I can see why it has been a long-lasting source of challenging gamesmanship. It is seldom played exactly the same by any two people, and it has an endless variety of craftsmanship in the design of the pieces used in the game.
