Il rifugio Posa Puner è stato edificato nel 1978 dagli alpini di Miane ed è posto a 1334 m. L’origine del suo nome è controversa: l’ipotesi più accreditata prevede che le numerose lame (anche dette in queste aree “pose”) poste prima e dopo il Col de la Posa fossero affollate di volatili, anche in virtù del fatto che in questi luoghi passano le rotte degli uccelli migratori, come il falco pellegrino. Il termine dialettale “puner” quindi identificherebbe una “moltitudine” di uccelli attorno alle “pose”. Da qui si può ammirare la pianura trevigiana in un punto panoramico incomparabile. Nei pressi si trova anche la bella chiesetta di Maria Regina della Pace.

The refuge Posa Puner was built in 1978 by Miane alpine and is situated at 1334 m. The origin of its name is controversial: the best hypothesis predicts that the number of blades (also referred to in these areas "pose") placed before and after the Col de la Posa were crowded with birds, also by virtue of the fact that in these places pass the routes of migratory birds such as the peregrine falcon. The dialect word "Puner" then would identify a "multitude" of birds around "poses." From here you can admire the plain of Treviso in an incomparable vantage point. Nearby you are also the beautiful church of Mary Queen of Peace.
