Slide on your Huaraches (or hiking boots, if you prefer), and follow in the footsteps of the first Californians. You can also bring along your horse or mountain bike. Pack a couple of oranges if the day is warm. Don't forget your camera, as the views are superb.
I make this hike several times a week, it's pretty steep from the San Juan side, gentler from the Salinas end. Plan on about 2 hours of walking round trip.
This cache is in a shoebox-sized rubbermaid container with a blue lid.
