Geocache Description:

This Cache is just outside the boundaries of a city park in the woods. To start your hunt drive to the back of the park on the main road thru the park. Walk through the opening in the fence in the NE corner to the dirt power line road. The No Tresspassing signs on your left do not apply to this area. They apply to the Golf course behind them. Take the trail to the right at the open gate. The trail will lead you to a trail which branches to the right. This trail will lead you to within 20 Ft. of the cache. It is in a half gallon plastic jar behind a small downed tree. Just before you get to the caches there will be a sink on your right. This is very near opening up into a cave. I cant wait. The area where this cache is buried is my old stomping grounds. The park was not there back in the 70's.We road dirt bikes in the woods and campedout where the park now is. The trail to the cache is one of our old motorcycle trails from when I was young. Hill and Dale park is a nice park to take the kids to for a Sunday picnic. The would have no problem going on the hunt. There are many deer in the woods. I saw 7 hiking through them last night.
The cache contains the hitch hiking Q-Ball, a small Torrodial Transformer, 6AU4 Vacum tube, EarPlugs (unused), and a line level. Please sign the index card.

7-31 Added logbook to cache. Next visit I will be taking a larger container. Evidently more folks have been there then logged thier visits as the container is full.

8-12 Replaced original container with a larger one.

4-17 Dispite what a handful report this is extremely easy terrain. It is completely flat. There are dear trails all through these woods.I spend the summer backpacking in the mountains of WV with a 40 lb pack on my back. This is definitely a 1 1. My 3 year old grandson and I run around in those woods a lot. It is his favorite place to explore. Ratings are subjective. If you sit behind a desk all day and your kids play video games all day perhaps you would consider it hell because the trail isnt graveled or paved and you might get a scratch or two from a twig or you have to walk a measly "1/3" of a mile (My grandson will hike with me 5 miles up and down mountain ridges and not make a whimper). If that is your case I would recommend you geocache in Central Park or on a golf course where you can ride in a cart. This cache is for those who are at least a very tiny bit adventuous. Like my 3 year old grandson and myself and what I suspect are the majority of geocachers.
