Geocache Description:


A quick park and grab from either direction, in a great little cut-through park.  When the boys were smaller this was just far enough from home to be an "Adventure", now that elder boy is walking dogs regularly this is a favourite destination on his way around the suburb. We struggled to derive the meaning behind the name of the road and park - Werac.  Wondering whether it is an oblique reference to retired Norwegian soccer star John Carew (24 international goals!), possibly a reference to the golden arm of lawn bowler Cliff Carew, made famous in the film Crackerjack, or the late coach of swimming great Kieren Perkins, another John Carew.  Will keep on searching to see if we can find the truth.
