This cache is located on a 1/4 mile spur trail connecting the Bull Shoals Visitor Center 1/2 mile paved Nature Trail and the Bull Shoals Roy Danuser City Park, and its sometime challenging 2 1/4 mile trail network. Constructed by the North Central Arkansas Master naturalists in cooperation with the US Army corps of Engineers, Bull Shoals - White River State Park, and theCity of Bull Shoals, the trail passes through boulder gardens, crosses a limestone creek bed and requires a 150 foot accent to reach the ridge top of the city park.
The City Park, is named for Atty Roy Danuser, who practiced law for 73 years in the area. He and C. S. Woods created and developed the City of Bull Shoals, where he was City Attorney for 50 years. He helped start Mountain Village 1890, where several historic Ozark buildings are preserved, and in 1959 he opened Bull Shoals Caverns as a tourist attratcion.
