It was following an email from Geocaching alerting me to the fact that is was soon to be Dönerstag that I realised it would be perfect to combine our next Rural Rendezvous event with Dönerstag and gain the first souvenir of the year.
Be sure to attend to claim the Dönerstag profile souvenir!
(To claim the souvenir, you need to attend an event.)

What is Dönerstag? Well according to the Geocaching.com blog:
Dönerstag began in 2007 when German cachers met at kebab shops around the country all at the same time. The tradition caught on!
These special events are held each year on a Thursday. In German, this makes the name “Dönerstag” a pun: The German word for Thursday is “Donnerstag.” Kebab translates to “Döner.”
With the opportunity to claim a souvenir, exchange stories, meet new people and share
trackables, be sure to come along!
