This geocache was part of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Wildlife Management Area System in 2017. There are 49 geocaches hidden on WMAs across Florida, from the panhandle to the Keys. See if you can find them all!

Sandhill, the predominant habitat on Suwannee Ridge, is very important for a range of species that have declined in numbers as these upland habitats have been developed and natural fire has been suppressed. Ongoing restoration and the use of prescribed fire on this area have improved wildlife habitat. The geocache is located along the Suwannee Ridge Hiking Trail.
