Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Spartanburg County Parks Geotrail!  (SCPGT)

The SCPGT will take you to caches in many of the premier Spartanburg County parks.

The listed coordinates will lead to to a stone marker. You must decipher the following to locate the final, which is a medium-sized plastic lock-n-lock style container, camouflaged to blend in it's surroundings.

N 34° 59.ABC
W 082° 05.DEF

ABC = (3,5; 2,6; 4,2; 8,4; 5,9; 10,7; 6,9; 8,11; 9,5; 14,5; 9,8)
DEF = (11,15; 6,8; 9,15; 17,10; 10,7; 7,5; 5,13; 10,13; 15,7)

This will take you to a tree near the fence. You will then need to locate your "Sighting Spot" (a V-shaped tree right next to the "X")

Sight through the "V" towards the lake and look for the two stones. Above those stones, you will find a little somothing unusual, but it will give you the coordinates to the final, hanging in a tree!

Lake Cooley Park is a lakeside park with boat ramp, fishing pier, picnic shelters, public restrooms, and an outdoor education center that is available for rent. Permits are required for boat use and fishing on Lake Cooley.
