Jungleland Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Rhino34: I came to check on this one today and the nearby airport has extended their property line into the woods just enough to have cut the tree down that housed this cache.

Thank you to everyone who looked for and/or found this cache. And for letting me know about the No Trespassing sign.

But you can still listen to the song Jungleland. It's the final song on the epic album, Born To Run.

Geocache Description:

Bruce Springsteen's music has been a huge part of my life so I have decided to start naming my caches after some of his great songs.

In the epic song "Jungleland", Bruce starts off by singing, "The Rangers had a homecoming".

Well, all 3 of our kids graduated from Eastlake North High so they were all Eastlake North Rangers. Now I don't think North held any of their homecomings nearby but they did have their proms at a building that is within eyesight of Ground Zero.

Plus, the sax solo in Jungleland by Clarence Clemons is a good enough reason to name a cache after it.

CACHE INFORMATION:
Another reason this one is named Jungleland is because the cache is hidden in a heavily wooded area. There are some makeshift trails in the woods so you won't need to bushwhack TOO much. It's less than a quarter mile of a walk but will be tougher in the summer months when everything is overgrown and the bugs are swarming.
Retrieving the cache might be a little tricky. The container is sort of a gadget cache where you need to know how to open it to get to the log.

The cache is hidden in the same general area as three of my other hides: Doctor Who Goes There (GC5JG82), Number Two Goes There (GC5JN6V) and Digital Underground (GC5YVJJ).  You can use the parking coordinates provided to find all 4 if you want to.
