Guten Tag and welcome to the German festival of Donnerstag on Thursday 13th April between 1830 and 2130 at the Kings Arms, Tamerton Foliot, PL5 4NH
This event has been created to coincide with the German festival of Donnerstag. Now, you might wonder why I'm doing this. Well, geocaching HQ are encouraging people to partake in events that showcase the world and the diversity of every country. By attending an event on this day, you will get a souvenir for your geocaching profile, but more importantly, you will also get to spend a few hours with like minded cachers for a mid week evening get together. Another interesting fact that many cachers might not know about me, is that I was born in Germany as well (technically British soil on an RAF base), so who better than to host a Donnerstag event than someone who was born in Germany.
Event is being held in the Kings Arms pub between 6.30-9.30pm. The pub serves food, and last orders for food is at 7pm, so best be here near the start of the event if you want any food. You're also welcome to eat before the event. If you could say in the will attend log if you're eating and how many, I can give these numbers to the pub a couple of day before the event so they don't have too much on their plate in catering for us (deliberate pun intended of course)
We also have use of the side room to the right of the bar.
I have also been informed by the pub that they're running a karaoke at 8.30pm. No, this isn't an extra that I've managed to get for us, it's for the muggles as well, but cachers are welcome to pop out the side room and take to the stage.
The event is open to all cachers, so whether you're attending your first event, or you've been to loads, and whether you live locally or in the area on holiday, it would be great to see you.
