Geocache Description:


A quick cache to welcome you to the village of El Nogalito and the several cache placements that await beyond. From Puerto Vallarta, take the orange bus to Boca from the Zona Romantica’s Basillo Badillo & Constitucion streets (8 pesos) and get off at the road to El Nogalito about 20 minutes ride, and walk from there.

Nestled in a valley of the Sierra Madre mountain range, El Nogalito offers thick lush sub-tropical vegetation, a crystal clear river and the peacefulness of a quiet Mexican village. El Nogalito actually means little oak, and the town got its name from the small oaks found in the higher regions up the river, also called by the same name.

A canopy consisting of trumpet trees, red paper trees, palms and strangler figs, amongst many, create a shade under which you will be quite comfortable at any time of the day. Ferns and orchids of many different species, growing in small crevices on the side of rocky cliffs, become more plentiful as you go up in altitude.

It's home to many birds, like parakeets and parrots, reptiles like lizards and meter-long iguanas, and mammals like the coatimundi.

Please use STEALTH during retrieval and replacement as this can be a busy spot at times.

Una memoria caché rápida para darle la bienvenida a la localidad de El Nogalito y las varias colocaciones de caché que aguardan más allá. Desde Puerto Vallarta, tome el autobús naranja hacia Boca desde las calles Basillo Badillo y Constitución de la Zona Romantica (8 pesos) y bájese en la carretera a El Nogalito aproximadamente 20 minutos en taxi, y camine desde allí.

Ubicado en un valle de la cordillera de la Sierra Madre, El Nogalito ofrece una exuberante vegetación subtropical, un río cristalino y la tranquilidad de un tranquilo pueblo mexicano. El Nogalito en realidad significa pequeño roble, y la ciudad tiene su nombre de los pequeños robles que se encuentran en las regiones más altas del río, también llamado con el mismo nombre.

Un pabellón compuesto de trompetas, árboles de papel rojo, palmeras y higos estranguladores, entre muchos, crean una sombra bajo la cual usted estará bastante cómodo a cualquier hora del día. Helechos y orquídeas de muchas especies diferentes, que crecen en pequeñas grietas en el lado de los acantilados rocosos, se hacen más abundantes a medida que sube en altitud.

Es el hogar de muchos pájaros, como periquitos y loros, reptiles como lagartos y iguanas de un metro de largo, y mamíferos como el coatimundi.

Utilice STEALTH durante la recuperación y el reemplazo, ya que éste puede ser un punto ocupado a veces.
