Geocache Description:

Another in our series of Church Micros in the South Wales area.

Not within the Church precincts, so please don't search in the grounds

There has been a place of Worship here since the Sixth Century, it is on the southern Pilgrims route to St Davids Cathedral in Pembrokeshire. The earliest recorded incumbent was in 1448
The Medieval Church consists of Thirteenth Century Nave and Chancel, Fourteenth Century Transept and Fifteenth Century North Ailse. Above the Entrance is a Sun Dial dated 1725.
In the Graveyard is buried the Lawyer Hugh Williams presumed Leader of the Rebecca Movement in the 1840's.
The Church narrowly escaped serious damage when a WW2 bomb destroyed the nearby Vicarage. The Church Tower was used during WW2 by two Companies of the local Home Guard as an Observation Post due to its close proximity to the coast.
