Fish Creek Park Walk - April 13, 2017 Event Cache

Everhollow: Thank you to the hardy group of geocachers who showed up on a grey day to take a walk in Fish Creek Park. There are 3 more attended logs to be posted but I am archiving the event so it is not returned in pocket queries of those who did not attend.

We did not get to the beaver dam across Fish Creek where I was going to describe the new method that Fish Creek Park plans to use to save some trees from being cut down by beavers. I will set up a CITO event so geocachers can assist in this experiment, if they give me the required 2 week advance notice. Perhaps on another walk we will get to Bebo Grove, one of the prettiest areas in Fish Creek Park.

1:45 PM - 2:15 PM


I will be leaving the parking area at 1:30 PM. The event is being held for 30 minutes on Bridge 3 at the posted coordinates. Following the event, you can choose to continue on with a group of fellow geocachers for a 4.5 km walk in Fish Creek Park on both paved and gravel trails with a cumulative elevation gain of 70 meters. Our turn back spot will be near a beaver dam that was built in recent years.

Wear good footwear and a trekking pole or two could prove useful. Don't forget a bottle of water.

Attendees will have the Dönerstag souvenir added to their souvenir page.
