The cache you seek here is a multi. This type was chosen in order to guarantee that you experience the maximum effect of the aura around GZ. You see, for many years mc_kramer and his band of scoundrels have taken great pride in putting together a scary animated Hallowe’en Haunted House to frighten visitors. The area near GZ has a distinctly creepy atmosphere that sent a chill up my spine when I saw it so naturally I decided it would be a great spot for this cache!
Your quest brings you to the entrance to a side trail near a small grove of trees. Look carefully and you will see the faint beginnings of the way in. Cross the shallow ditch, duck under the branches and wind your way uphill between the trees toward Stage 2. If you look carefully you can make out a faint path that curves off towards the west. On your right are some tall fir trees with a holly bush in the middle. Pause and examine the ground carefully. There will be a slightly more distinct trail heading straight off to the west between the skinny alders. Take a few steps along that trail and stop. Now take a good look around, particularly to the west, then back to the east. Eerie, isn’t it? How did this come to be, right here in the middle of a forest? Mother Nature didn’t do this so who’s responsible?
Along the uphill side of this phenomenon is Stage 2, a small fir tree. Look for a hanging container. It contains a note that will reveal the hiding spot of the cache. Please tread lightly and don’t disturb the forest floor any more than necessary so as to preserve the spookiness of these woods.
