Geocache Description:

This magnetic micro cache is located at the Seawall Banstand, arguably the most popular of the 3 located in Georgetown. A popular spot for tourists and residents, you can quickly and easily find your cache and spend the rest of the time enjoying the Atlantic Ocean breeze. Bring pen / pencil.

Looking out over the Atlantic Ocean, this red & white iron Bandstand is one of the three Bandstands in Georgetown. This Bandstand was erected in 1903 as a memorial for Her Majesty Queen Victoria's death in 1901. Over the years, it was used for performances by the British Guiana Militia Band. The Bandstand had fallen into disrepair over the years, but was adopted by the Guyana Police Force in 2010 and is open to the public. The state of the bandstand has since improved, and is surrounded by a small green space containing grass and a small picket fence.
