Our SOGeo group is coming to Medford Comic Con 2017!!

Meet up, say hi to some new cachers, compete in a little challenge, and have some fun!

With their Mission Statement in mind, we at SOGeo wanted to join in and bring our love of the outdoors, connecting people and community with science, technology, and game play, and share it all with cachers new and experienced. We would like to have a small little Meet and Greet with everyone and catch up on what's been going on in everyone's caching lives, as well as let everyone know what's on deck in the world of SOGeo. After the event, SocksAndAmanda will be setting up a booth to invite many more people to learn about Geocaching and all it has to offer them.  

We will be setting up a booth with some general information, learning tools, and items that SocksAndAmanda have been putting together to help teach people about geocaching and see what exactly it is and how it works. We encourage any of you veteran cachers to stay around and help talk with some of the newer people and answer questions that they might have.  We are also going to be putting together a little scavenger hunt that everyone can participate in on the grounds of Comic Con.  Once finished, you can return the sheet to be entered into a drawing for some unactivated trackables!

We understand that this setting is somewhat of a unique place to be hosting a geocaching event, however, we are hoping to interact with more than 5,000+ people during the day and work to grow geocaching as a whole, as well as promote SOGeo and all that we want to become.  We are very much looking forward to seeing many new faces and hope to see everyone there!
