Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates.

It Pays to Be Ignorant was a popular American radio comedy show which was broadcast from 1942 on radio to 1951 on television. The series was a parody of the academic discourse evident on such authoritative panel series as Quiz Kids, Information Please, and Doctor I.Q. The program was created and hosted by Irish-born Tom Howard (1885-1955), and panelists - "a board of experts who are dumber than you are and can prove it" - included Harry McNaughton (1896-1967), Lulu McConnell (1882-1962), and George Shelton (1885-1972). Each episode would start with some jokes and an introduction of the experts. After this, three or four questions would be discussed in detail: some posed by Howard, some picked at random by a guest from the audience. These questions often had the answer obvious in the query or were common knowledge. Even so, the panelists would invariably get the answer wrong, providing outrageous answers instead, followed by an uproarious rationale for their answer, digressive conversation, and/or insults at each other. More than eighty recordings of episodes are known to exist; many can be found on the internet.
