Geocache Description:

There was a time in this fair land when the railways were king. If you traveled rail was a desirable method. Near this location is a formerly active railway station which no longer handles passengers but is a location used locally to help maintain railway operations.

This geocache will bring you to a location where you will be able to view one of Canada's former rail stations. Woodstock was fortunate during the heyday of railways in that two of Canada's major railways served the town. Both passenger and freight service was provided here and one could catch the train and travel to places like Toronto, London, Montreal and even Putnam and St. Thomas.
