Yad-Eliyahu is named for Haganah leder, Eliyahu Golomb, and became the site of housing projects for ex-servicemen after WWII. The Nokia Arena, home to the Maccbi Tel-aviv basketball team is also located in Yad-Eliyahu, as the eastern neighborhood had both the space and the necessary infrastructure. Originally planned to be relatively uncrowded, the Yad Eliyahu stadium is an indoor stadium with close to 12000 seats. In addition to basketball games, it is used for many other public events as well, including concerts.

מרק ספיץ בן ה15. במקומה הוקם פארק ציבורי בשם פארק גלית ונכללים בו
גינות נוי, פינות משחק, ורחבת סקייטבורד עשויה בטון. ב2009 נחנך חניון תת-קרקעי של ארבע קומות
