About Dönerstag

Dönerstag began in 2007 when German cachers met at kebab shops around the country all at the same time. 

These special events are held each year on a Thursday. The German word for Thursday is "Donnerstag." Kebab translates to "Döner", this makes the name " Dönerstag" a pun.

Last year, over 6000 players attended 233 Dönerstag events held all over Europe.

This year Dönerstag has spread worldwide! Now we may all experience this fun event (and get a souvenir).

I invite you to join me at Oasis- Lebanese Cuisine, on April 13th, 2017, at 7:00pm (please don't arrive more than 5 minutes early). The event will last until we are done or 9:00 pm when the restaurant closes. The plan is to discover food from a different (for some of us) culture and met or reconnect with fellow Geocachers in the Hillsboro area.

Please log "will attend" with the number of people under your geocaching name as soon as possible so that I may get a proper count for the restaurant.
