Touch and Go
“All I need is what you’ve got
All I’ll tell is what you’re not
All you know is what you Hear
I get this way when you come near…”
-The Cars
A themed cache in several parts, each tied together with the concept of the cache title.
This cache is in the newly minted St. Inigoes State Forest, located on the site of the former Jesuit Plantation on the Potomac. The land is still primarily farm land but there are copses of forest breaking up the fields, some of which have had been tree harvested lately. The fine folks at Forestry pointed me to this part of the property and I thought it’d make a neat place for a cache of this type.
This cache will take you to several locations and at each you will be given a challenge to get to the next step.
The walk requires a bit of bushwhacking but nothing that can’t be done in shorts and crocs. The forest is generally flooded in the spring and winter months and there is hunting in the area, so, as always, wear your orange.
I’d make sure I had a decoder app or access to some decoding resources.
All stages of the cache share the following coordinates:
N 38° 07. _ _ _ W 076° 25._ _ _
Each stage will only contain the final three numbers to complete the coordinates for the next stage.
The container is small due to its resting spot. It can hold coins, bugs and the like.
