Geocache Description:

A meet and Greet of Mississippi Geocachers.

April 8th  from  Noon to 4:00

Airey Lake Campground.  Watch for signs in the campground for where we will be setup.  Feel free to camp

Lunch will be provided starting at 1:00 (BBQ Pork and Buns, Bottled Water)

Over the past 9 years or so there has been a group of Geocachers made up of 2 cachers in each of the 3 Districts; South, Central and Northern, as well as 1 additional member at large from any of the districts.  This group (the MSGA Board) has worked on promoting Geocaching in the State in various forms. But over the last few years the MSGA Board has not been very active and this Event is intended to get as many of the past members of the board together along with as many of the Active Cachers in the state as a meet and greet and also to discuss the goals we as cachers would like to see from the MSGA. This event is not restricted to MS. residents, it is open to all cachers that cache in the state even if this is their first find smiley .  We will have BBQ Pork & Buns, Cold Bottled Water.  If others would like to bring some sides please comment on your log so we all know.  We will be setup from 12:00 noon until 4:00 or so with food ready at 1:00.  Please bring your own camp chair. this is a primitive camp site in DeSoto Forest but it does have a restroom facility. There are a "FEW" caches in the neighborhood so feel free to come and go and enjoy the DeSoto Nat. Forest
