From "The Geocaching Blog":
Dönerstag began in 2007 when German cachers met at kebab shops around the country all at the same time. The tradition caught on. These special events are held each year on a Thursday. In German, this makes the name “Dönerstag” a pun: The German word for Thursday is “Donnerstag.” Kebab translates to “Döner.
We don't have a donair place in Didsbury (one of the many business we lost recently), but we love this genuine "mom and pop shop", and they are happy to host us so join us on a Thursday for a visit, coffee or meal.
Please mark your "will attend" and let us know how many will be joining us so we can give the restaurant and idea of numbers. Keep in mind this is the first time hosting an event here so we want to help them be prepared. The restaurant is fully accessible and plenty of street parking available (although it is across from the Post Office so sometimes you have to walk a bit).
