Barbuda is a wonderful place in terms of geology because it has awesome limestone caves! The cache is hidden in a famous cave called Indian Cave. This geocache will involve a 5 mile drive (~ 10 to 15 mins by car) on an unpaved road that leads to Two Foot Bay from Codrington town. Then you will stop at an old ruin next to the ocean. Directly opposite the ruin is the edge of the plateau. About halfway up is the entrance of Indian Cave!
Drive from the city of Codrington north east to Two Foot Bay. As you near the location indicated you will notice an old ruin of a small stone building on the left. Its call "Wreckers Hut" or Codrington's Loot House. Park here and look opposite the ruin on the other side of the road. You will see a jagged cliff that goes up about 70 feet or so. You will notice that there is a fairly easy to climb track that will allow you to climb halfway up the cliff. This leads you to the entrance of Indian Cave! The cave is well-lit as there are several openings for sunlight. Go down the main corridor till you get to a junction. The right will take you to “Drop Cave” where there is a 3 foot stepdown. The left is down a corridor called “Guardian Passage”. Go down this corridor to the left! Pass the Amerindian Petroglyphs on the wall as you go. You will see the petroglyphs about 2 to 3 feet off the ground on the right wall. After passing the petroglyphs the corridor opens up to a large skylight called “Glowing Cave”! While standing under this skylight you will notice a small cave in the wall to your right. It is about 4 feet wide and 2 feet high. The cache in hidden within! Explore the rest of the cave after signing! A map of the cave is available as a picture of this cache. Check it out for some clarity.
