Helix Pomatia – Eine Schnecke geht shoppen
Die Weinbergschnecke Helix Pomatia lebte am Doberaner Platz. Sie wollte unbedingt mal shoppen gehen. Darum machte sie sich jeden Montag auf den Weg in die Kröpi. Aber sie kam immer erst Sonntags an, wenn die Geschäfte geschlossen waren.
Eines Tages bekam Helix von ihrer Schwester, einer Bibliothekarin, ein Buch geschenkt. Darin las sie von einem „Schnecken-Büro“, das sich Beim Grünen Tor befinden sollte. Prima, dachte Helix, vielleicht haben die eine Idee, wie ich es mal pünktlich in die Kröpi schaffen könnte. Sofort machte sie sich auf den Weg.
Aber ehe sie dort ankam, war das Schnecken-Büro schon umgezogen. Zuerst war Helix sehr traurig darüber. Doch dann dachte sie: Eigentlich ist es doch ganz gemütlich hier, und zur Kröpi ist‘s nur noch halb so weit. Mein Haus hab ich eh dabei, da zieh ich doch gleich hier ein! Sie kroch unter ein paar Blätter und machte erst mal ein Nickerchen. Besucht sie doch mal in ihrem neuen Zuhause!

Helix Pomatia -- A snail and her shopping trip
The grapevine snail Helix Pomatia lived at Doberaner Platz. She really wished to go shopping someday, so every Monday she set off towards the Kröpi. However, each time she only arrived at Sunday when all the shops were closed.
One day her sister, a librarian, gave her a book where she read about a "snail office" supposed to be located "Beim Grünen Tor". Great, thought Helix, maybe they have an idea how I could make it to the Kröpi in time. At once she was on her way.
But by the time she arrived, the snail office had already moved on. This made Helix very sad at first. But then she thought: Actually, the place seems quite cozy, and it's half way to the Kröpi. My house is with me anyway, so why don't I just stay here? And the first thing she did was crawling under a few leafs to have a nap. Feel free to visit her in her new home!
