Geocache Description:

This walk can be done as a circular joining up our reston figure of eight series  through the villages of gayton le marsh linking up with existing caches in Withern and onwards through Tothill linking back into South Reston. The walk takes in the great eau river which you cross and recross on route. Around Withern there are a couple of sites that are of sssi interest, a site of a castle and motte and earthworks of another, and a medieval manor house. Alternatively the walk can coincide with a longer circular series taking in the villages of Claythorpe and Authorpe. Parking is available at varying places along the route as there is not a dedicated start and finish. But take care not to cause an obstruction to any landowners or other users. The route is dog friendly but please be aware that they must be on a leash at times as you may encounter lamas, alpacas or sheep.
