Ovo su ostaci Tomažinovog mlina, posljednjeg aktivnog mlina na Pazinčici, koji je prestao s radom krajem šezdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća. Nekad su tu bila zapravo dva mlina, jedan do drugog. Donji je pripadao porodici Hrastić, a gornji porodici Brajković s nadimkom Tomažin. Koristili su zajedničku branu koja je nekada bila drvena kao i sve ostale, sve ko kraja II svjetskog rata, kada su po sjećanju Marija Brajkovića Tomažina zatvorenici iz Pazinskog kaštela dovedeni da sagrade novu betonsku branu koja i danas stoji.
Jezerce koje je formirala brana Tomažinovog mlina bilo je nekad poznato pod imenom Tornina. Taj se toponim spominje u matičnim knjigama Pazina još početkom 18. stoljeća. Stotinjak metara uzvodno dvije obale Pazinčice su spojene starim kamenim mostom koji se zove Most Svetog Jožefa, ili ponekad Napoleonov ili Francuski most, zbog činjenice da je sagrađen početkom 19. stoljeća kada je na par godina i ovaj dio Istre bio pod vlašću Napoleona.
