Georgina Diamantina Catchment Covering approximately 405,000 square kilometres, it is more than three times the size of England! It includes ares of Northern Territory, Queensland and South Australia and is one of five catchments in the Lake Eyre Basin. The Diamantina runs to Goyder Lagoon, 800kms from its source and the water can take months to travel down.
